GLOSSARY

Leave-one-out basis

Screening a value against its own group's distribution computed with that value excluded. A single slipped row cannot move a median it is not part of, so the basis is non circular by construction and needs no configuration. It is the always available answer to a screen that would otherwise refuse to run.

Principle 11 · Reconciliation proves arithmetic, not plausibility

Where does Leave-one-out basis come from?

Principle 11 of the Kymira doctrine, Reconciliation proves arithmetic, not plausibility. Leave-one-out basis is the name the doctrine gives to what that principle requires in practice.

What failure is Leave-one-out basis named after?

The honest refusal that catches nothing. Told not to calibrate a screen from the data it screens, three builds refused to calibrate at all. Every one reported itself uncalibrated, honestly, and a hundredfold quantity slip certified as cleanly as before.

What does it look like on a real file?

The suspect row is compared against its plan's median computed without it, so a slip cannot become its own ceiling.

Not for

Not better than a configured tier list. It is the basis that is always available when no outside prior exists.
