GLOSSARY
Reconciliation anchor
A total the source file states about itself, a printed grand total, a totals row, a stated base, that every computed figure must tie back to. The anchor is the only check a vendor cannot argue with, because it compares your arithmetic against the file's own claim rather than against your second attempt at the same sum.
Principle 1 · An AI never authors a number
Where does Reconciliation anchor come from?
Principle 1 of the Kymira doctrine, An AI never authors a number. Reconciliation anchor is the name the doctrine gives to what that principle requires in practice.
What failure is Reconciliation anchor named after?
The Total row that is also data. A file ships its own summary row; the pipeline sums it along with the rows it summarizes and doubles the answer.
What does it look like on a real file?
Meridian's subscriber export states its own active total above the header, and every certified figure on the page ties back to that line.
Not for
Not for meaning. A tie proves the arithmetic and the identity, never that the right column was read.
